Following the release of rap super-group Slaughterhouse‘ mixtape On The House and Shady debut long player Welcome To Our House  the crew’s individual members have been dropping a steady stream of freestyles and new material.

Latest in, is the group’s Brooklyn representative Joell Ortiz dropping some bars over two minutes of G.O.O.D. Music’s recent smash “Clique.

Personally Joell’s voice and rapping style has always grated on me a little and this freestyle as a whole leaves me quite underwhelmed. Whilst he adds muscle to Hit Boy‘s beat, it seems to me that the muscular nature of his bars also weighs him down. Despite being in many ways the superior rapper, technically speaking, Joell didn’t navigate the track half as nimbly as someone like Big Sean did.

Have a listen to the freestyle yourself and let me know what you think of Joell Ortiz’ rapping ability in the comments section below.

Joell is technically sound but the original stands alone, I think Joell kills it but Big Sean’s delivery is better suited to the beat, none the less, Slaughterhouse continue to rage havoc!
