Joey Badass, CJ Fly, Kirk Knight, DJ Lee Bannon soundcheck in London [Video]

New York’s latest sensation Joey Badass kindly invited Don’t Watch That TV to video his soundcheck before performing for Bape London’s ten year anniversary in London, and ended up treating them to a fine demonstration of his and his crew’s lyrical prowess.

With CA representative DJ Lee Bannon on the ones and twos, the rapper and his Pro-Era pals CJ Fly and Kirk Knight dropped some typically intricate bars, with no props to go on. The clip below shows the full 15-minute soundcheck, but my personal highlight comes when they start rapping over Nas’ Illmatic classic “N.Y State of Mind” around the 8.50 mark.
