Just a day after Nicki Minaj popped her British performance cherry at the Hammersmith Apollo, Compton kid Kendrick Lamar gets his first taste of the UK crowd with a performance at Camden’s Electric Ballroom.
It’s easy to see that the TDE fans across the pond have been waiting to see K-Dot live, as the entire crowd in the historic venue excitedly recited every word of every rhyme he spat, showing up right on time for the call-and-response portions and nearly drowning him out at others.
As the Black Hippy puts together his next project, tonight’s show proves that the UK contingent of Kendrick’s fan base will be front and center as soon as it drops.
