Canadian Hip-Hop site Montreality recently caught up with Kendrick Lamar and got the good kid from the mad city of Compton to open up about his childhood job (he never had one), what he bought with his first paycheck (nothing), playing basketball (other than rap, that’s all he’s good at) and whether or not he’s ever met Eminem.
“Yes, I have met him,” K-Dot revealed. He says his first meeting with his Aftermath labelmate was a brief one, but that they made an unofficial pledge to get in the studio together. “He said he was a fan of my music and that since I’m part of the family we’ll see each other.”
“You definitely can expect a record,” he added. “You definitely can.”
Take a look at the full interview below to hear the Black Hippy discuss his debut album, what he wants his legacy to be and, of course, Spider-Man. Because what interview is complete without discussion of superheroes?
