Listen: Mister Cee’s ‘Best of Tuesdays’ Mix: R. Kelly Edition

Michell C. Clark November 21, 2012 Mixes, Music, Soul/R&B/Alt Comments

R. Kelly has had an undeniably impactful career on the genre of R&B since his debut in the early 1990′s. From early classics such as “I Believe I Can Fly” and “You Are Not Alone,” to more recent hits including his “Trapped in the Closet Series” and “Same Girl,” the Chicago native has shown over and over again why he is one of the best in the game. There aren’t many better qualified to mix the best from Kelly’s long and distinguished discography than Mister Cee, who has been producing and DJing since he spun for legendary hip-hop pioneer Big Daddy Kane in the late ’80s and early ’90s.

The hour-long, commercial-free mix below includes many different sides of the versatile legend, including club anthems, sensual hits, radio favorites, and emotional ballads. Though his legacy may have been tarnished due to the drama in his life, few can deny the impact of the man’s music.

R. Kelly will debut the latest chapters of his hit hip-hopera “Trapped in the Closet” this Friday.
