Swedish outfit Little Dragon – like a handful of other acts including The Weeknd, MGMT and Florence and the Machine – faced a hectic multi-tour schedule this weekend. Following an appearance at L.A.’s Hard Summer on Friday night (August 3rd), and with sets at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal and Lollapalooza in Chicago in consecutive days ahead of them, the band took some brief time out with Rolling Stone to give an update on happenings.
Complex reported back in July that Little Dragon vocalist Yukimi Nagano would contribute to OutKast member Big Boi‘s sophomore solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, on a track entitled “Mama Told Me.”
“We were in Atlanta and just kind of had a day together, it was one of those rare things where we met and had a vibe,” she said of the making of the record.
While Nagano’s feature is everything but confirmed, it’s also possible that Little Dragon as a whole might pick up credits on the album, too.
“We produced one song that we gave to him,” bassist Fredrik Källgren Wallin said. But seeing as it is not his album, nor that he’s sure Big Boi will include it in the final cut, he kept schtum about the details of the track.
Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is due out on November 13th, so only time will tell. Meanwhile, Little Dragon will begin work on their fourth studio album this September, aiming for a release in 2013.
