Another day, another Lupe Fiasco interview (but we’re hardly complaining). Catching up with HipHopSince1987 at DTLR’s Direct Drive Record Pool Listening Lounge in Washington DC, Lupe elaborated further on his forthcoming LP, Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album, and revealed that the double-disc record will be largely consistent, but part two will be more “experimental”.
He also listed Bob Marley, Johnny Cash and Fela Kuti as some of his current musical tastes, named Kanye West and Common as his favourite Chicago rappers, and shared his views on the current blog industry. Take note bloggers, less gossip and more well thought-out editorials is what the man wants. We’re inclined to agree.
