Yesterday, Urban Bridgez reported on two upcoming singles from 2 Chainz‘s debut album, Based On A T.R.U. Story. In the story, they claimed that a cut entitled “Birthday Song”, featuring Kanye West, is due to be released on July 23th, followed by the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Love Dem Strippers” in August. They also told that both singles will receive their respective music videos next month.
But, in a sit-down with VIBE, 2 Chainz himself addressed these reports, and rejected the validity of the information. According to the rapper, the features weren’t even correct.
“I didn’t put that out, I don’t know what that’s about,” he said. “Even the features that they were saying on there are not correct, so it’s just people, I guess, digging.”
Nevertheless, Tity Boi confirmed that he does have a single coming out on July 24th – one that “might” have a feature on it. He also confirmed that he has worked with Kanye West on his upcoming LP, but made no mention of Ms. Minaj.
Looks like we’ll have to wait ’til July 24th to see what song 2 Chainz graces us with next. Based On A T.R.U. Story is scheduled to be released on August 14th.
