Frank Ocean cancels European tourdates | Music News

The last thing one wants to hear on a beautiful Summer’s day is bad news, but that’s exactly what we’ve got as R&B’s man of the moment Frank Ocean has announced the cancellation of a number of European tourdates. His scheduled appearances at this weekend’s Way Out Way festival in Sweden, UK’s V Festival and his opening slot on Coldplay‘s world tour are among those to be cancelled.

Late last night, the critically-acclaimed songwriter took to his Facebook page to break the news.

Let me start by saying I feel like an asshole right now but a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months and the casualties of that decision include my appearances at upcoming festivals in Europe and my opening slot of the European leg of the Coldplay world tour. Sorry as fuck, I’ll be back if you’ll have me.

Although the message didn’t offer an explanation as to why he had to opt out of the appearances, the announcement comes just 24 hours after the Odd Future crooner was forced to cut short his set at Norway’s Oya Festival due to vocal problems. Below is a list of Frank’s cancelled tourdates.
