With the second series of the UK spin of American music talent show The Voice on its way early next year, rumours of coach Jessie J not returning to her chair had came to light. Putting the rumours to rest, the BRIT Award-winning singer cleared up the confusion by announcing that she will be returning to the show for its second series.

The singer took to her Twitter account yesterday to reveal the news:

The singer is the first of the four coaches to confirm her spot on the second series. Neither singing legend Tom Jones, Danny Boyle of Irish band The Script nor all-round musician will.i.am has yet confirmed whether they will be making a return.

The talent show that introduced the voices of singers like Jaz Ellington and Vince Kidd saw a decrease in ratings as the first series came to its close. The follow-up tour was also cancelled due to lack of ticket sales.
