Lil Wayne explains ‘Dedication 4′ delays, premieres mixtape trailer [Video]

I Am Ayo September 1, 2012 Music News Comments

*Sighs* Another day, another brand new Dedication 4 release date. Yep… after getting his fan’s hopes up the first time and then crushing them soon after, YMCMB capo Lil Wayne decided to do the “official release date” thing again only to *cough* push the mixtape back for the second time, seven days later.

Back to square one, Tunechi hooked up with his familia over at Bread Over Bed to explain the “truths” behind the delays and confirm the most recently-announced release date.

According to the Cash Money franchise player, Dedication 4 is finished and has been for sometime now. However, its delay is the result of 1) the mixtape’s host DJ Drama needing to put his very own finishing touches on the project, and 2) Wayne’s manager Cortez Bryant wanting to have a few things in place prior to Dedication 4‘s actual release on September 3rd (this coming Monday).

Wayne’s announcement(s) are followed by a highly impressive, genuinely engrossing mixtape trailer chronicling the Dedication series over the years and the re-emergence and rebirth of Cash Money Records.

I can’t front, the trailer part has me a little curious about the tape now… damn it!

Check out the announcement and trailer below.
