Lupe Fiasco removed from stage for anti Obama comments + performing "Words I Never Said" for 30 mins [Video]

Outspoken rapper and activist Lupe Fiasco is not one to bite his tongue when it comes to his view on politics and yesterday during a performance at Hamilton Live in Washington, D.C, the Chicago raised artist who has made his feeling on President Barack Obama very clear in the past, had to be removed from the stage after performing he same verse from his Lasers single “Words I Never Said” (featuring the lines “Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit
That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either”) over and over for at least 30 minutes.

Organisers of the event, which was reportedly a pre-celebration Obama’s inaguaration which is set to take place today, obviously didn’t take kindly to this and Lupe’s refusal to move onto another song and security appeared on stage to escort Wasulu of the platform. Watch a round up of the events below and check out some 1st hand twitter reaction from Foreign Policy‘s Josh Rogin and The Lupe Fiasco Store.
