Earlier this week, fans received both a vague release date (the tape is expected to arrive sometime next week) and the first leak, a freestyle over 2 Chainz and Drake‘s “No Lie”, as well as the official fan-made artwork for Dedication 4, and now further details have emerged on Lil Wayne and DJ Drama‘s upcoming mixtape. To little surprise, Young Money‘s First Lady Nicki Minaj will make a guest appearance on the project.
The Pink Friday pop star made the announcement in a recent sit-down with MTV, although she wasn’t offered a feature, like you may think. Ms. Minaj actually demanded to be on Dedication 4, and her boss obliged. She added that her fans should look forward to hearing her contribution.
“He was working on the mixtape and I said, ‘Excuse me, I need to be on that mixtape,’ and he said, ‘Aight, whatever you wanna do.’ So I just went into the other room and recorded on this particular beat that I’m sure my fans are gonna be very happy I touched. And then of course he murked it after, so I’m really excited for the kids to hear that,” she said.
