While the world anxiously awaits the inaugural G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer, legendary producer No I.D. says that a Kanye West solo album may follow soon after.
“He’s comin’ right after that,” the Chicago icon told MTV News, with “that” referring to the Cruel Summer album.
While he wouldn’t divulge too much about either project, No I.D. did reveal that he’s not working on Cruel Summer but has been at work on Ye’s solo, which he says will undoubtedly meet the established standard.
“It’s Kanye. You know what to expect when it’s him. He hasn’t missed yet, I don’t expect him to miss,” he said. “The album is good. … It’s what you expect and everything you don’t expect. It’s gon’ be great.”
Cruel Summer is due August 7th. Hopefully that new Yeezy is right behind it.
