First Pusha T and Lil Wayne. Then Lupe Fiasco and Pete Rock. And now New York emcee Saigon has thrown more beef onto the fire by taking shots at G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean.

In a recent interview with SOHH, The Greatest Story Never Told rapper singled out Sean and criticised his lyrical content.

“This is what he’s about, this whole lifestyle saying he’s so rich and he eats shrimp every night, and ya’ll support this shit? Ya’ll broke and poor and your family’s about to get kicked out. That’s our hit son! That’s his hit.

Nobody knows the words to this song, all they know is ‘ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass, ass’. We don’t care about ‘ass, ass, ass, ass,’ but this is the society we livin’ in right now. So it’s like alright.”

Saigon was also quoted as saying: “”Why ya’ll supportin’ a n***a that promotes the destruction of our community? Why are you doin’ that? Why would you let this n***a thrive and we don’t know where our next jobs are coming from? He’s rapping about selling kilos of cocaine and selling drugs.”

With this being reported as a diss to Rick Ross – and understandably so – the Brooklyn-bred emcee took to Twitter to protest his partial innocence.

No word from Saigon on the “ass, ass, ass” quote, so it looks like the insults still stand for Big Sean. Watch your back, G.O.O.D. Music.

This ain’t beefin, he’s making a complaint about the nature of our music in the context of whats going on in the wider society. You have every right to think he’s wrong, but theres nothing ‘ridiculous’ about him expressing his opinion which is consistent with his lyrical content anyway (album promotion or not).
plus most of this was about rick ross and not big sean.
