Snapshots: Lupe Fiasco shoots ‘Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)’ video

With all the drama surrounding his sampling of Pete Rock‘s revered “T.R.O.Y.” finally seeming to have subsided, Lupe Fiasco gets to work on the video for “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free),” the song in which the sample appears.

Shot right at home on the rainy streets of the Windy City (on Madison right off of Pulaski, to be exact), Lupe is joined on set by fellow Chicagoans Moonie and Count — better known as the L.E.P. Bogus Boys.

The song is the first single from Lupe’s third album, Food & Liquor 2: Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, which hits stores in July. Check out a couple flicks below.
