Promoting her new EP True in the UK, Solange Knowles stopped off in London to perform at her sold out gig in the trendy XOYO venue. Performing a set of her own hits including new material from the EP, Solange also took full opportunity of being in London by bringing Oliver Sims – member of The xx – on stage to help her sing a Nicole Wray cover.
Introducing him as one of her good friends explaining how they bonded over a love of music, Solange brought Oliver out to an excitable crowd before announcing they were going to sing a cover of Nicole Wray’s “Make It Hot.” Singing in a lower register than she’s used to, Solange showcased her full vocal range as the crowd also got to see her on stage chemistry with Sims.
