Last night, Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 hosted the 17th installment of their annual Birthday Bash. The star-studded event is always a big deal in the city, but this year’s edition was even bigger because it marked the first time local legend T.I. had rocked the Birthday Bash stage in three years. To mark the occasion, the King of the South made his performance truly momentous by bringing out a slew of surprise guests including Kelly Rowland, Usher, Nelly, Young Jeezy and Chief Keef and Lil’ Wayne (who pretty much stole the show), making Philips Arena his home for more than an hour.
“I just really appreciate everybody being willing to come in and support,” Tip told MTV after tearing the house down. “All these people who I called, these are personal acquaintances of mine. These are not just people that I called because they got hit records. These are people who I actually politic and kick it with.”
Check out some exclusive pictures of T.I.’s big night below, as well as the Kang’s brief interview with MTV.
