Arlissa set herself a near impossible task after hitting the public consciousness with a debut song “Hard to Love Somebody” featuring arguably the greatest rapper of all time Nas. How was the 21 year old London raised newcomer supposed to follow that up?

Well today she unveiled the official video for her new single “Sticks & Stones” and put my worries to rest. The Roc Nation managed singer-songwriter’s new single is a polar opposite of the Nas featuring warm-up, with it’s tribal rhythms, driving beat, yodelling backing vocals and evocative lyrics, the earthy pop track is definitely a winning sound for the emerging star.

Coupled with the official video, which was filmed in the Honey Swamp Island in Louisiana, which feels like a scene from Peter Pan’s Never Never Land, with Lost Boys’ and girls living their lives how they want as part of a carefree magical tribe. Very impressive stuff. Press play below.

“Sticks & Stones” will be released on the 3rd of March
