Sixteen years in the industry and Minneapolis hip-hop crew Atmosphere are still hard at work and Emcee Slug and producer Ant bring us a visual from their sixth studio album The Family Sign which was released in April of 2012 via label Rhymesayers. The song this video represents is actually two separate tracks, one of which is available only through iTunes as a bonus.
For “Millennium Dodo” Ant builds the beat over a stark drum kick and a bluesy repeating guitar riff before things beef up as Part 2 takes on a West Coast vibe. The video shows footage of the duo riding through their native Minnesota spots documentary style.
