Blu drops a visual for “One The Porch“, one of the most soulful tracks from last year’s short but mostly sweet J E S U S LP.
The Chimp-directed video, which stars Jay Kwev of New Breed Music Group, provides an ideal accompaniment to Blu’s blunted yet poetic verse. As the L.A. underground favourite raps over lo-fi, Aretha Franklin-sampling production, the director brings his recording to life- drawing a short vignette of kids chilling, smoking and talking trash on the porch. It’s a simple, everyday work of art, and that’s why it’s interesting.
