Drummer Chris Dave has made a name for himself working with artists like Robert Glasper, Adele, Maxwell and D’Angelo, not to mention as part of his own trio, The Chris Dave Trio.
In September of last year, Dave released a collaborative project with emcee Stimulus, entitled 3rd 1st Impression. The project highlighted Dave’s stellar drumming skills and now he’s back with a pretty cool medley of tracks, notably A Tribe Called Quest‘s “Find A Way,” and Kanye West‘s “Flashing Lights.”
The drum elements that Dave adds with the original tracks playing in the background is pretty cool, especially the drums on “Flashing Lights” – it sounds like a new song.
