Dot Rotten – “Overload” | Music Video

Dot Rotten
, one of 2012′s most highly-touted artists (who we told you to Get Familiar with way back in January) returns with the video for his latest single “Overload”. As is always the case with Dot, there’s so much below the surface with this track and the visuals which accompany it. At face value, producers TMS have sampled the Robert Miles classic “Children” to create a bass-heavy, dubstep/trance-influenced club monster designed to push the South Londoner further into the mainstream. Listen closely to the lyrics though and this is far from vacuous fist-pumping party music. About two minutes in, the video takes a similar turn as powerful historic images flash on screen rapidly.

Keep an eye on this one – he’s been building his fanbase for a while now, and the time’s coming. This could be the big tune that pushes Dot through.
