Following my introduction to her via her raw freestyle “Breakdown” earlier this year, fiery 24-year-old UK singer/songwriter Emma Blakk is back with yet another edgy song and visual entitled “Try,” produced by JC and taken from her forthcoming EP Council Block Dreamer.
Directed, shot and edited by Chas Appeti and Simon Dewey, the visuals play with mono grey, black and white tones, switching between fast and slow shots of Blakk in her element. The song concept outlines rawness and unwillingness to stop doing what she does best despite all of life’s obstacles being thrown her way.
