Franklyn Music ft. Brewer – “Hometown Glory” | Music Video

18 year old London-born rapper, Franklyn Music, could boast an unlikely, yet impressive, start in journalism to accompany a promising path in music. Having seen his name emblazoned across a number of major publications in their, arguably twisted, take on his decision to reject Cambridge University, Franklyn penned a piece for The Guardian online, which not only garnered a well-reasoned article of response, but accumulated over an astonishing 300 comments, making it one of their most popular pieces.

Now, as his ambition has steered him into studio sessions with MOBO award-winning emcee/producer, Victizzle, placing a solid mixtape base before him, Franklyn presents the beautifully sombre black-and-white visuals to his cover of Adele‘s modern classic, “Hometown Glory”. Sure, the sample has been covered on wax by everyone from Santigold to Big K.R.I.T., but with Franklyn‘s beyond-his-years maturity resonating with every line, the song’s connection with any young person in our country’s inner-city can only be stronger.
