Today welcomes another injection of fresh J Dilla material. Taken from the late producer’s recently-released posthumous album, Rebirth of Detroit, the Tone Plummer and Mr. Wrong-assisted “Rebirth is Necessary” cut receives its official music video, courtesy of Ron Moe and Dirty Rat.
In the clip, which you can watch below, the two featured emcees proudly represent their Michigan hometown, while also highlighting its crushing hardships. Footage of Jay Dee is spliced throughout, as his warped and erratic instrumental plays out.
