MGK‘s video for “Hold On (Shut Up),” which features Young Jeezy, provides a strong set of visuals to personify the struggle that both artists recollect from before their days of superstardom.
The video transitions from a nondescript broken-down house to a complex carjacking plot designed to bring in some more money, coming to a dramatic conclusion complete with a burning car, paralleling the fiery nature of a song borne from struggle. His energetic, rapid-fire flow thriving over the high energy, trap-influenced instrumental by JP Did This 1, MGK is unafraid to continue pushing the envelope, delivering a memorably graphic visual for a standout track from Lace Up, which was released on October 9th.
