M. Gosho Oakes August 30, 2012 Hip Hop, Music Videos Comments

The intimate nature of the song already had us anticipating this video long before the trailer dropped, and now here we have the official visuals for “Bye Baby,” from Nas‘ latest album Life Is Good, as the lyrical Queensbridge representing New York native maturely, but openly, reflects on the good, bad and ugly aspects of his former marriage to Kelis.

Directed by Aristotle, the video depicts the globally revered emcee rapping candidly to camera inbetween narrative scenes chronicling the arduous process of his divorce, gliding over smooth production crafted by Salaam Remi and Noah “40″ Shebib with a grooving Guy sample. Press play.

“Just another day in the life of two people in love – but it wasn’t enough.”
