Rapper, singer and all-around smooth operator Phonte has just released a new set of visuals from his debut solo LP, Charity Starts At Home, as “Gonna Be A Beautiful Night” sees the North Carolina native renew his partnership with Carlitta Durand, a Minneapolis-born soul singer with a fantastic vocal range.
The video shows Phonte and a female friend enjoying a perfect evening date- walking through the city at night, eating out and enjoying drinks in a dimly lit bar. It’s a sunny take on the song itself, a ballad recounting the story of lovers re-united after going through some troubles in their relationship.
