Those on that stoner vibe should be well acquainted with the London-based greenthumbed crew Piff Gang (but for those who aren’t, I’ll do the formalities). Comprised of Phaze One, Don Silk, Skout, Super Dertie, Skits, Prince Bam, J Rells, Crankz, Budgie and Motive, picture a 10 figure mix of Cypress Hill and Wu-Tang – with a dash of LDN slang thrown in, of course – and you’re somewhere close.
Although debuting in 2011 with their first mixtape, Piff Breaks & 808s, the Pizzys (as they’re also known) hold a lot of bragging rights. Not only gaining features in publications like i-D Magazine and Dazed Digital on the strength of their aforementioned release, but the collective have also supported prominent US up-and-comers Mac Miller and Stalley on their respective European tours.
Following Skits‘ cover of French Montana‘s uber-gangsta “Shot Caller”, the Piff Gang regroup to present their latest output with the official video to their “Blue Slims and a Bag of Piff”, found on their delightful reefer-referencing Christmas release, Mary Piffmas.
Roll one up, watch below and follow the crew on @piffganguk and piffgang.com.
