Diamond-selling reggae artist Shaggy shut down a busy section in Kingston, Jamaica to premiere his new video “Sugarcane” this past weekend. The debut single from Mr. Boombastic’s (“telly fantastic”?) new album/EP Summer In Kingston is a fun, summer song filled with innuendos. The video depicts the story of a young foreign women (English) along with her mother getting addicted to the “sugarcane” on “old island in the sun”, beautifully captured by one of the best Jamaican directors, Jay Will.
