Skepta truly lets the visual do the talking for “Somebody’s Everything”, which is taken from his latest album Blacklisted.

The thought provoking video reflects Skepta’s emotional and hard hitting lyrics by focusing on an insecure young girl’s desire to look like the models on the covers of the glossy magazines she reads. Starring Nicole English as the lonely female who lacks confidence and self esteem, the visual captivates the viewer and makes you contemplate just how superficial society can be.

Directed by Matthew Walker, the video was thoughtfully released on Valentines Day, lending itself nicely to the message in the song.

It’s refreshing to see real life issues being brought to the forefront and a project that really makes it’s viewers think. Check out “Somebody’s Everything” below.
