With as little subjectivity as possible, Talib Kweli‘s “Push Thru” has been one of the best pieces of work to come out of the rap game in a while. Since its release last month, the S1-produced, Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar-assisted jam has been a fixture in the SoulCulture tapedeck (and hopefully in yours, too). While we await more details on Kweli’s forthcoming mixtape, Attack The Block, the BK rhymer gives the first sample of his upcoming sixth LP, Prisoner of Conscious, it’s visual certification.

Dot shows us what life’s like out West in his hometown of Compton. It’s kinda like the video to Jermaine Durpi‘s “Welcome To Atlanta” remix, only with more substance.
