On the release of ‘Far Closer’, the latest single from UK Soul singer Andreya Triana’s debut album Lost Where I Belong, Ninja Tunes (her record label) have called on the most unlikeliest of collaborators, experimental Hip Hop producer TokiMonsta to create a remix of ‘Far Closer’ to accompany the original.
On paper, these two artists being put together clearly does not work but thankfully the good people at Ninja Tune didn’t get that memo because this is one killer remix with TokiMonsta providing a conspicuously left-field bass-heavy Hip Hop influenced milieu layered with snyths for Andreya Triana to lay her sultry jazz-tinged vocals and lyrics over.
