South London duo Disclosure have a knack for producing future garage floor-fillers shot through with catchy R&B, so their decision to revisit Artful Dodger‘s garage classic “Please Don’t Turn Me On” in early November shouldn’t have come as much of a surprise.
Surprise or not, it’s a natural fit, and it’s one that has been getting extensive play on Radio 1, 1xtra and Kiss FM over the last month or so, leading Disclosure to offer us a free download of their track for a limited period. You’d be mad not to add this to your iTunes. Capturing the seductive soul of the original and placing it in a new, almost-deep house setting, Disclosure switch it up whilst making us long for the year 2000 (as we all know they do). The result is dance bliss.
