Big Daddy Kane – “28 Bars Of Kane” (Prod. DJ Premier) | New Music

Having previously produced for Big Daddy Kane back in 1994 on the classic “Show & Prove”, which featured a whole host of emcees including a very young Jay-Z, as well as a few other joints here and there, DJ Premier once again teams up with Dark Gable on “28 Bars Of Kane”.

Standing at just over a minute in length, the short but sweet electronically sprinkled offering has been constructed to promote the upcoming Nike Air Jordan XX8 shoe. With a non-stop lyrical assault from start to finish, it’s great to hear this type of chemistry reignited so easily. Spitting, “Some break records so no one forget ‘em/ We don’t break records, we’re the ones who set ‘em,” Kane’s raw delivery comes off as an education to those attempting to climb today’s hip-hop charts.
