Charli XCX – “You’re The One” (The Internet Remix) | New Music

We’ve heard several versions of British goth-pop artist Charli XCX‘s “You’re The One” since the sweet, synth-driven ballad first dropped in the summer and now we have another remix courtesy of Odd Future‘s pysch-soul sub-group The Internet.

In July the OF duo of Matt Martians and Syd Tha Kyd gave the track a funky club revision with the help of a verse from fellow Wolf Ganger Mike G, and whilst it was plenty of fun, I wasn’t entirely convinced that Mike needed to be there. Well it seems that The Internet loves Charli XCX nearly as much as the internet loves her, because he’s churned out a new version which features her voice, and her voice alone. The result couldn’t be more pleasing:  a twitchy, glittery groove made for hipsters under Christmas lights.

Listen below, and download Charli’s latest tape, Super Ultra, here.
