Chiddy Bang – “Ray Charles” | New Music

Connie Tang November 15, 2011 New Music, Previews Comments

Philly duo Chiddy Bang are finally getting ready to release their debut album Breakfast, due out February 28th, 2012. In support of the project, Chiddy and Xaphoon Jones have chosen “Ray Charles” to be the leading first single. The story behind the track is definitely one for the books.

“The song actually started out as a joke when my brother, Cheeseburger Don, got so high he fell asleep in the studio with his sunglasses on,” says Chiddy Bang. “I looked over and he reminded me of Ray Charles, probably because I was high, too. I started freestyling about him and we laid it down right there.”
