London rapper Chip might be busy building his American dream over at T.I.‘s Grand Hustle Records but makes sure to rep his city from the drop, enlisting a crew of homegrown talents to join him on new single “Londoner,” taken from his upcoming DJ Drama-hosted mixtape, London Boy.

“London boy, bank full of pounds/ Never banked on me then? Bank on me now…” the MOBO Award winning emcee glares to camera in his new video, flanked by fellow Tottenham hailing spitter Wretch 32 [who took home the BET award for Best International Act 2012 this summer], Hackney star Professor Green and crew, with R&B swag courtesy of Loick Essien on chorus duties. It’s hard to call best verse on this one, each emcee comfortably flowing with Great British bars of pride.

With two Top 10 albums already under his belt – his 2009 debut I Am Chipmunk and 2011′s Transition – Chip is often regarded as one of the strongest emcees on UK shores, having shown fierce potential in his teens, and his latest movements overseas mean all eyes will be on him to see if this latest mixtape delivers the goods we’ve been waiting on. Check out the official video for “Londoner” below, directed by Vertex, and stay tuned for Chip’s London Boy mixtape – set to drop on Christmas Day.
