Chuck Inglish x Benny Cassette – “Say No To Drugs” | New Music

Sam Gould October 24, 2012 Music, New Music Comments

Chuck Inglish (one-half of the Cool Kids) and genre-busting LA artist Benny Cassette have been hard at work putting together a collaborative EP entitled Angel Dust. The project, which will fuse elements of hip-hop, soul, rock and pop into one fluid sound, is produced entirely by Chuck, who is preparing for the release of his solo debut Convertibles later this year.

In the video below, the pair explain their forthcoming projects, how they met, and what their music’s about. Shout out to Chuck for the following quote, “Art is unmathematical. I pretty much make music for cars that are rolling round without tops”.

With Angel Dust set to drop next Tuesday (October 30th), the pair have decided to treat fans to a free download of one of their tracks. Each track on the EP engages with one particular vice or emotion and “Say No To Drugs” is a croon to the tune of lust. With playful, bass-driven production and temptation-laden vocals, it’s a great introduction to their sound.
