Preparing to unleash her One Woman Army of an album to the world, Ciara unveils the video for her new LP’s emotive lead single, “Sorry.”
“Sorry” was penned and produced by Jasper Cameron – who, as you can tell from the similar drums and sensual structure, was also behind her 2006 single “Promise” – whilst the video directed by Christopher Sims shows a struggling relationship’s sob scenes interspersed with the trademark rhythmic writhing we’ve come to love from the pop/R&B starlet.
Digging into her emotional reserves, the 26 year old Grammy Award winner’s new album is said to be a personal record. “I can sometimes be afraid of my own vulnerability,” she says. “But this time I let myself face it. I let myself feel. I let myself be real. I let myself hurt and be healed.”
With The Underdogs, Rodney Jerkins, Soundz, Jasper Cameron, Josh Abraham and Jermaine Dupri all contributing to the project’s musical soundscape, One Woman Army is set for release on December 4th, preceded by “Sorry” on September 25th.
