You may remember Cocaine 80′s, aka No I.D.‘s R&B side project comprised of Common, James Fauntleroy, Makeeba and a few more friends, after they released two fine EP efforts last year with The Pursuit and Ghost Lady. Resurfacing in the new year, the quartet present their newest track, “Queen To Be”, a clunking yet charming slow burner that probably hints at a new Cocaine 80′s project on the cards.
Lonnie Lynn’s absent on this particular cut, but that doesn’t make it any less nice. Enjoy below.
