With his highly anticipated debut album Contrast due to drop next week, Conor Maynard‘s much-pondered-on collaboration with R&B superstar (and the man behind an immeasurable number of smash hits) Ne-Yo has arrived.
In terms of sound, it’s more akin to the Europop stylings of Ne-Yo’s recent “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” than some of the hitmaker’s past R&B classics, but it’s very much a future smash hit that will rock in clubs and send crowds wild.
Ne-Yo is reportedly a big fan of Maynard and wanted to sign the young popstar when he heard his YouTube cover of “Beautiful Monster”. The EMI-signed 19-year-old also has Pharrell Williams and fellow-newcomer and hot property Rita Ora lined up to appear on his debut album.
