Still rolling out videos from Jimmy Fallon’s live tribute week to Bob Marley, Jennifer Hudson took on the reggae legend’s widely celebrated, often-covered classic, “No Woman, No Cry,” back by the stellar band that is The Roots.

Whilst there’s no denying the 2004 American Idol finalist has one of the most powerful voices in chart R&B today, this particular performance lacks a little something something for me.. her lips are definitely singing the words, but her eyes seem to reveal a lacking connection with the song. Nonetheless a pleasant listen – watch the action below.
