As we draw closer to the release of her debut album GoldenHeart, Dawn Richard unveils the emotive lead single from the LP “86″.
The former Danity Kane & Dirty Money member sings about the effects of love and her inability to escape them on the Druski-produced 80s-tinged track.
Speaking to Interview magazine, the singer revealed the meaning of the single, “The song’s about ridding yourself of all those barriers so that you can be free and fight for love. That’s what everything I do now is about. The fight for love—what I love, and that’s the music.”
