DMX is feeling faithful and uplifting on “Head Up,” the latest leak from his upcoming album Undisputed.
Over a very familiar Earth, Wind and Fire sample, X professes his faith in God and his need for His assistance in keeping the devil at bay. This one will probably hit somebody in just the right spot, inspiring them to keep pushing through whatever hardships they’re currently facing. And for that reason, it’s certainly useful.
But for me, it’s just boring. I’m tryin’ to catch a good head-nod, not the Holy Ghost. Sorry to be a killjoy.
