Elle Varner f/ Wale & T-Pain – “Refill (Remix)” | New Music

New music from LA raised songstress Elle Varner in anticipation of her forthcoming debut album Perfectly Imperfect. This remix follows her J Cole assisted debut single “Only Wanna Give It To You” which dropped over in the States last year and is finally getting a UK release on June 25th. As for this remix… I didn’t realise how much I’d missed the presence of T-Pain‘s off-kilter autotuned crooning on everything for the last couple of years.

Varner is a multi-instrumentalist who began playing the flute and the piano before she’d even reached the age of 10. She subsequently attended NYU where she studied at the Clive David Institute of Recorded Music – no surprise then that she was signed to J Records before the label dissolved last year. Having been tipped by many and performed alongside The Roots at the band’s veneterated annual Pre-Grammy Jam Session, she’s definitely one to watch.
