Verse February 2, 2012 New Music No Comments

“Hold your head as high as you can, high enough to see who you are little man,
Life sometimes is cold and cruel, maybe no-one else will tell you so remember that you… are Black Gold.”

Grammy award winning Jazz singer and multi-instrumentalist Esperanza Spalding bring us the empowering first single from her forthcoming fourth solo studio album Radio Music Society. On “Black Gold” which features additional vocals from singer Algebra, Esperanza delivers an uplifting and powerful message of recognizing self worth. Look out for the official video which will premiere today on 106 & Park, but for now… give “Black Gold” a listen (or twenty) below.

Radio Music Society is set to be released on March 20th.
