Ester Dean – “Invincible” (Solo Version) | New Music

DeeKay July 20, 2012 New Music, Soul/R&B/Alt Comments

After almost an eternity (or in real terms, a few years) of buzzing around the R&B scene as a highly accomplished songwriter (with credits on some of Rihanna‘s biggest hits, Nicki Minaj‘s “Super Bass” and new single “Right By My Side,” and Beyonce‘s “Countdown” to name but a handful) on the fringes of a career as a performer, it looks like Ester Dean is finally going to get her shot as an artist in her own right.

She’s most recently featured on Machine Gun Kelly‘s single “Invicible” which she co-wrote, appearing alongside the Cleveland rapper when he performed the track on the Jay Leno show earlier this week. Now, she’s released her own take on the track, switching it up thematically and arguably surpassing the original.

She’s an incredible songwriter with an unbelievable catalogue, so I for one sincerely hope she’s able to take advantage of the situation she’s created for herself and the extra shine she might get now that she’s down with Roc Nation.
