Faith Evans – “Recognize (Ode to ’95)” | New Music

Faith Evans

There was a time when Bad Boy, Puff Daddy, Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans where head and shoulders above the rest of the music industry. The rap world was still bumping Biggie’s Ready To Die when Faith’s début album spawned the hit Gold singles “Soon As I Get Home” and “You Used to Love Me” and it looked as if no one could compete with their roster.

Faith also remembers those days fondly and to kickstart her new music series #fizzyfridays, she’s released an ode to those times and as a reminder that she’s been on the grind since then – new jacks and jills better recognize.

Whilst you’re in the reminiscing mood, be sure to check out our Return to the Classics special with producer Chucky Thompson who worked on Faith.
